I spent an amazing time with this couple. Their story touched my heart.
Veronica lost her first baby boy in 2014. She told me she would like to incorporate her son into the photo shoot so that no one will forget him.
This was a powerful idea!
I am so proud of this couple. They are now expecting a baby girl and I can’t wait to see her 🙂
Enjoy the sneak peek of this beautiful family!
Congratulations to beautiful “C” family. Enjoy your sneak peek!
What is behind Sophia’s name? Means “wisdom” in Greek. This was the name of an early, probably mythical, saint who died of grief after her three daughters were martyred. Legends about her probably arose as a result of a medieval misunderstanding of the phrase Hagia Sophia “Holy Wisdom”, which was the name of a large basilica in Constantinople. This name was common among continental European royalty during the Middle Ages, and it was popularized in Britain by the German House of Hanover when they inherited the British throne in the 18th century. It was the name of characters in the novels ‘Tom Jones’ (1749) by Henry Fielding and ‘The Vicar of Wakefield’ (1766) by Oliver Goldsmith.

Congratulations to beautiful “W” family. Enjoy your sneak peek!
What is behind Avery’s name? The name Avery is taken from the surname Avery, a Norman French translation of the Old English name Alfred, which in turn was derived from Ælfræd, meaning ‘Elf Counsel’. Avery is a gender neutral name; it is more common as a boys name in the United Kingdom, and more common as a girls name in the USA, reaching the thirteenth most popular name in the USA in 2014. It didn’t enjoy any substantial popularity as either a boys or a girls name before the 1990s.

As a senior portrait photographer, it’s always important to balance the needs of both the senior and their parents. In this particular case with my senior Anna, her personal style is chic and fashion. Her mother has the same taste. This made the entire session much more smooth. We had 2 photo sessions; in my studio and on location. We began the shoot with a natural look featuring soft makeup and Anna’s curly hair. Then we added more eyeshadows to make her look more dramatic. Anna loves shopping and she has aspirations for a career in the fashion industry. So, we created a concept that would reflect her style and interests. We incorporated shopping bags and a fantastic location which happens to be the most popular shopping mall in San Antonio. When it comes to performing in front of the camera, Anna has the natural talent of a model. It was an absolute blast to work with Anna, her sister and her lovely Mother. I hope she will continue and grow and have a fantastic career in the fashion industry.
Welcome to the world Sebastian!
I was so excited to see this little boy and shoot his signature newborn portraits. One year ago I had a photography session with his big brother when he was newborn. 🙂
Sebastian looks just like him.
What is behind Sebastian’s name? From the Latin name Sebastianus which meant “from Sebaste”. Sebaste was the name a town in Asia Minor, its name deriving from Greek σεβαστος (sebastos) “venerable” (a translation of Latin Augustus, the title of the Roman emperors). Saint Sebastian was a 3rd-century Roman soldier martyred by arrows after it was discovered he was a Christian. Due to the saint’s popularity, the name came into general use in medieval Europe, especially in Spain and France. It was also borne by a 16th-century king of Portugal who died in a crusade against Morocco.
Enjoy your sneak peek, beautiful family 🙂
I’m truly humbled and blessed to have the opportunity to photograph some of the most happiest and beautiful expecting Mommies in the San Antonio area. Melissa is the most recent expecting Mommy I photographed at my studio. The beautiful soul that is Anna Castro referred Melissa to me. I was so humbled to think that Melissa believed in my talent and work so much that she was willing to drive 30 minutes to my studio for a maternity session. Melissa is a beautiful Mommy and her Maternity Session looks as though it is straight out of a magazine. Here are some sneak peeks images from Melissa’s Maternity Session. Enjoy!
Welcome to the world Victoria!
This name means “victory” in Latin, being borne by the Roman goddess of victory. It is also a feminine form of Victorius. This name was borne by a 4th-century saint and martyr from North Africa. Though in use elsewhere in Europe, the name was very rare in the English-speaking world until the 19th century, when Queen Victoria began her long rule of Britain. She was named after her mother, who was of German royalty. Many geographic areas are named after the queen, including an Australian state and a Canadian city.
